The ideal candidate is compassionate about working with adults living with a disability, has a high school diploma or GED, related experience, basic computer skills and a current Virginia driver license.
Support residents with daily living skills, routines, and personal care.
Provide emotional encouragement, crisis intervention, and positive role modeling.
Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive living environment.
Assist with recreational, educational, and community activities.
Document resident progress, incidents, and communications accurately.
Advocate for residents’ rights and promote independence.
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and outside providers.
Assist with daily living activities (personal care, meals, mobility).
Support independence through skill-building and goal achievement.
Ensure health, safety, and medication administration.
Encourage community participation and inclusion.
Document progress and communicate with team and families.
Provide advocacy, emotional support, and companionship.
